As part of my residency at the first Florida International Toy Piano Festival, I'll be presenting a program of new works that explore the inherent theatricality of toy instruments. The show will fuse toy piano, melodica, electronics, show tunes, and a new piece of experimental theater in this cabaret-recital of premieres and reimaginings that explode expectations. Featuring works by Charles Hulin, James Joslin, Andrew Krahn, Christopher Jette, Molly Joyce, Stephen Montague, Angelica Negrón, Aaron Severini, and my sister Claire Fleitz. Also featuring new arrangements of Rogers and Hammerstein classics (yes, I'll be singing!) by Elizabeth A. Baker, Joseph Mohan, and Han Shi!
